Tarina Tarantino
Italian version Bellissima, brillante, capelli fucsia, creativa e determinata: non bastano questi aggettivi per descrivere una delle stiliste di gioielli più famose nel mondo. Nel 2005 ha festeggiato dieci anni di attività artistica. Si è lasciata ispirare per i suoi bijoux, unici e coloratissimi, dalla gattina Hello Kitty per l’originale linea Pink Head, ottenendo grandi successi. Tarina Tarantino è oggi la straordinaria ospite di Delirio.NET, e in quest’inedita intervista racconta di sé e delle sue creazioni, già amatissime dalle star di Hollywood, anticipando notizie sulla collezione Primavera 2006. Dove un’altra icona storica e glamour farà il suo debutto scintillante nel mondo secondo Tarina.
English version Beautiful, brilliant, pink hair, creative and resolute: these adjectives cannot fully describe the talents of one of the most famous jewellery designers in the world. In 2005 she celebrated ten years of her artistic activity. For her unique and colorful line of bijoux named Pink Head (a great success worldwide) she was inspired by the cute Hello Kitty character. Tarina Tarantino is today the extraordinary guest on Delirio.NET: in this unpublished interview she tells us more about herself and her creations, a real must among Hollywood celebrities; also, she will anticipate us some highlights of her future Spring 2006 collection, that, in Tarina's opinion, will be the debut of a new, glamorous and unforgettable icon.
 Italian version Delirio.NET : Tarina ha iniziato come modella, e poi ha deciso di cambiare la propria vita ed è diventata una stilista internazionale. Il tuo precedente lavoro ti ha aiutata a diventare una stilista oppure no? T.T.: Sì, assolutamente! Mi ha donato la passione per il designe la moda. Ho anche lavorato con alcuni straordinari stilisti quando ancora vivevo in Europa, come Jean Paul Gaultier. Delirio.NET : Hello Kitty della Sanrio è così carina, e la tua interpretazione della piccola e dolce gattina giapponese ha avuto un grande successo in tutto il mondo. Come mai trovi Hello Kitty così ispirante? Che cosa trovi in lei che ti aiuta nella tua creatività? T.T.: Hello Kitty era un’icona d’infanzia che ho molto amato. Cogliere l’occasione di lavorare con lei e ricrearle uno stile è stato un sogno divenuto realtà. Ora Pink Head vive nel suo magico mondo e ispira nuove collezioni ogni stagione. Delirio.NET : Hai creato gioielli come fossero sogni scintillanti, e le star di Hollywood li indossano durante gli eventi internazionali più famosi: quanto è importante questo fatto per te e il tuo lavoro? T.T.: E’ meraviglioso quando una ragazza famosa indossa i miei modelli. Questo può dare ai miei pezzi un riconoscimento in tutto il mondo all’istante. Queste ragazze sono anche vere fan, amano I gioielli e li collezionano. E’ un omaggio perché in fondo loro possono indossare qualsiasi cosa al mondo, però scelgono le mie cose. Ma mi fa davvero piacere quando vedo una ragazza qualunque camminare per la strada indossando uno dei miei modelli. Delirio.NET : Io amo indistintamente tutte le tue creazioni, ma al momento c’è una collezione a cui serve più cura di altre? T.T.: Dò la stessa attenzione a tutte le mie collezioni. Faccio moltissima ricerca e creo storie per ognuna di esse. Inoltre sono sempre alla ricerca di fabbricanti capaci per i miei ingredienti. Questa cosa è molto difficile siccome molti di loro si trovano sparsi per il mondo. Delirio.NET : E ora, la domanda tradizionale: cos’è la cosa più strana che hai fatto fin’ora nella tua vita? T.T.: La cosa più strana in assoluto che ho fatto nella mia vita è stata quella di tingermi i capelli di rosa. E’ successo sei anni fa, e ho deciso di tenerli così: ne sono davvero molto soddisfatta. Delirio.NET : Quali sono i tuoi futuri programmi e che cosa troveremo nei tuoi negozi prossimamente? T.T.: Per la Primavera 2006 faremo uscire la collezione Barbie by Tarina Tarantino … poi mi dirai che cosa ne pensi!!! Baci, ciao e… scintillii!!  English version Delirio.NET : Tarina started as a model, then she decided to change her life and became a international stylist. Did your former job help you to become a stylist, or not? T.T.: Yes, absolutely! It gave me my passion for design and fashion. I also worked with some amazing designers when I was living in Europe, like Jean Paul Gaultier. Delirio.NET : Sanrio's Hello Kitty is so cute, and your interpretation of the sweet Japan little cat has got a great success all over the world. Why do you find Hello Kitty so inspiring? What do you find in her that help you in your creativity? T.T.: Hello Kitty was a childhood icon that I loved so much. Getting a chance to work with her and re-style her was a dream come true. Now “Pink Head” lives in her own magical world and inspires new collections each season. Delirio.NET : You create jewellery as sparkling dreams and Hollywood stars wear them in the most famous international events: how much is important this fact for you and your work? T.T.: It is wonderful when a famous girl wears my designs. It can give my pieces a recognition all over the world instantly. These girls are also real fans, they love the jewellery and collect it themselves. It is a compliment because they can wear anything in the world and they choose my pieces. But I really get excited when I see a normal girl walking down the street wearing one of my pieces. Delirio.NET : I absolutely love all your creations, but at the moment is there a collection that has more demands than others? T.T.: I give the same attention to all of my collections. I do a lot of research and create stories for each collection. I also resource wonderful manufacturers for my components. This is very hard as many of them are all over the world. Delirio.NET : And now, traditional Delirio.NET question: what is the stranger thing that you have made in your life up to now? T.T.: The strangest thing I have done in my life was dying my hair pink. It was six years ago and I decided to keep it which I am very happy for. Delirio.NET : What are your next programs and what will we find in your world shops in most recent times? T.T.: For spring 2006 we release the Barbie by Tarina Tarantino collection…then you can tell me what you think!!! Xoxo, Ciao and sparkles!!
